The docudrama series 14 Diaries of World War One is based on diaries and letters of ordinary civilians and soldiers from several countries, that bring the war back to life. The sudden outburst of hostilities, the suffering in the trenches, the superhuman efforts of doctors and nurses, the heavy casualties among civilians, the protests against war and the political system. The history of World War One is dramatised with personal stories. 14 Diaries of World War One has been broadcast with great success in more than 28 countries worldwide and is the first German series to be released on Netflix USA.
